GoalMax Overview Of Benefits

With GoalMax management, coaching, medical and rehab teams can evaluate 30+ metrics including Heart Rate, Total Distance, Sprint Distance, Energy Index, Max Speed and Heat Map to precisely understand the physical and tactical of each player in training and games. In soccer, each position requires different skills and physical capabilities. The data derived from Goalmax’s GPS and LP technology and biometric and other sensors which are built into the wearable solutions, enables coaches to compare players’ performance across time and across positional groups. This quantitative analysis effectively guides training and positional decisions for each player and also provides each player with their own numbers after training sessions or matches. With this objectified performance data, players can compete with themselves and each other, and coaches have a much clearer understanding of physical performance in order to shape training in a more objective, scientifically supported way instead of relying on intuition. With such an objective approach, coaches can break down training goals set for each player by the day, week and month to maintain consistently effective practice.

GoalMax wearable solutions is a great tool for coaches to understand player workload thereby mitigating preventable injuries. Coaches, medical and rehab teams can continually review players’ session data to ensure that training takes each player from their current physical state to where they need to be to win. There is a fine line between training that is not challenging enough and training that is overly aggressive and risks injury or re-injury, and GoalMax provides readily available data for coaches to confidently walk that line.

Monitoring current players’ profiles and positional patterns and demands helps improve scouting as coaches can seek out new players with similar or complementary characteristics. GoalMax wearable solutions gives coaches the confidence to know they are making the right planning, training and scouting decisions which give a tangible competitive advantage during every match.

GoalMax Metrics

HEART RATE

GoalMax has a built-in Heart Rate sensor that provides a real-time presentation of the current Heart Rate in beats per minute (BPM). GoalMax provides the user with 10 metrics including Current Heart Rate, Average Heart Rate and Max Heart Rate per session.

SPEED

GoalMax measures 8 metrics in real-time including Current Speed, Average Speed, Max Speed and 5 Speed Zones. Speed data is provided in m/s, Km/h or mph depending on your settings.

Acceleration, Deceleration, Sprint Distance and Max Speed are crucial metrics during training and games to increase performance without increasing injury risk, and to educate each player on how fit they are and how fit they need to be to succeed in the game. This data also guides scouting decisions as it permits coaches to seek out players demonstrating similar or complementary statistical profiles.

SPRINT

GoalMax measures 5 metrics of Sprint in real-time: number of Sprints, Sprint length, Sprint Max Speed, Sprint Direction and Total Sprint Distance. Sprint metrics are vital to performance analysis in conjunction with Heart Rate monitoring in order for coaches and players to continually strive to meet performance goals, whilst monitoring for fatigue to avoid injury during matches and training.

DISTANCE

GoalMax measures 2 Distance metrics in real-time: Distance Per Minute and Total Distance.

Distance Per Minute is the distance covered divided by the duration of training or play. A high Distance Per Minute value demonstrates a high work rate throughout the session.

Total Distance measures the output of the player’s session. University and professional players can cover 7 to 11 km during a typical match, depending on their physical condition and playing position.

CALROIES

GoalMax measures Total Calories burned during training session or match.

STEPS

GoalMax measures 2 metrics in real time: Steps per Minute and Total Steps taken during training session or match.

ENERGY INDEX (EI)

GoalMax measures 2 metrics in real-time: Energy used per minute and Total Energy used during training session or match.

Heat Map

GoalMax measures player Heat Map to precisely understand the scope and frequency of a player’s movement, helping the sports analysts to identify playing conditions and in-game situations of players. Thus, helping in collecting and analysing valuable Sports data, like understand the physical and tactical of each player in training and games.

JUMPS

GoalMax measures 2 metrics: Jump Power and Total Jumps (number of jumps during training session or match).

STEP BALANCE

GoalMax measures 2 metrics of Step Balance in real-time that have huge potential for injury prevention: Difference in steps on left and right per minute, and Total difference in steps on right and left during training session or game.

Ideally, steps should be balanced 50:50 on left and right, but a slight deviation is normal. Large differences or sudden changes in Step Balance on the left and right may indicate a potential injury that would otherwise be impossible to detect.

ACCELERATION

GoalMax measures 2 metrics of Acceleration in real-time: Duration of Acceleration (seconds) and Number of Accelerations during training session or game.

DECELERATION

GoalMax measures 2 metrics of Deceleration in real-time: Duration of Deceleration (seconds) and Number of Decelerations during training session or match.

Acceleration, Deceleration, Sprint Distance and Max Speed are critical metrics for coaches to effectively train players to reach benchmark goals as quickly as possible without risking injury, and to maximize the performance of every player.

FALLING/SLIDING - Unique to GoalMax

GoalMax measures 3 metrics of Falling/Sliding in real time: Orientation (face, side and back), Falling/Sliding Length and Number of Falling/Sliding incidents.

Falling/Sliding can be either intentional to reach a ball or accidental. Duration and length of Falls/Slides can help determine player condition.

CHANGE OF DIRECTION/DRIBBLING & PIVOTING

GoalMax measures 2 metrics in real-time: Duration of Dribbling and Pivoting (seconds) and Number of Dribbling and Pivoting occurrences during training session or match.
